The Designer - Credentials

Mark Suess has gained national acclaim for his boldly original, highly inventive residential and commercial design. His acumen for blending different styles and periods and mixing global influences with local resources have earned him a place among the country’s most respected design talents. Mark’s work recently has been featured in publications including the New York Times, Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine and the 2007 book “Designed in Minnesota.”

Much of Mark’s design education has come in the form of world travel, which has allowed him to observe art, furnishings and architecture and experience lifestyles across Europe and Asia. His work defies convention by drawing inspiration from a variety of cultures and eras, from traditional Indonesian to contemporary Italian.

Mark is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and is certified by the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design. He has studied and worked in both architecture and interior design. Mark’s expertise also includes landscape design. He has refined his skills with workshops including Mike Lin’s Graphic Workshop, designed by highly accredited landscape architect Mike Lin, and a workshop in Rome, Italy taught by Purdue University Professor of Landscape Architecture Greg Pierceall.
